Who will see my Boudoir images?

Who will see my boudoir images?

That is one of the most asked questions during a pre-consultation with my clients. Who will see my boudoir images? I agree, it’s important to know with boudoir images. They are personal and not everyone wants them seen. With any photography business, everyone knows that the images belong to the photographer. I own them and have the right to share them, but this is where I draw an invisible boundary.  Boudoir images are more intimate and personal and many people don’t book a boudoir session out of fear of having their images shared publicly.  I believe in confidentiality and you need to trust your photographer and ask them up front how the images will be shared. For me, everything is kept between us and the images will only be seen by my eyes and yours (+/- your significant other).  I have a model release form that you would sign during our viewing/ordering appointment asking what you’d like to do with the photographs.  Yes, being able to share images helps my business to grow, but I fully respect your privacy as well.

The model release form options give you the freedom to who will see your boudoir images:

  • I give full and complete permission to share ALL boudoir images on all forms of photographer’s social media accounts
  • I give permission to only share images that keep me anonymous on social media accounts (close ups, not showing face or any identifying tattoos)
  • I give permission to only share images in photographer’s women only private Facebook group:  Boudoir by NinaRose VIP group
  • I would rather not share any boudoir images publicly
  • I give permission to share images publicly after a certain date (don’t want surprise slipping for anniversary/birthday gift to significant other)
  • I will pick and choose the images that I would prefer to be shown with myself and the photographer

There are so many different options to help you feel comfortable.  And sometimes clients fall in love with their images so much, that they want them shared. It always makes me happy when I see their profile image change to one of theirs from their boudoir session.  This not only makes me feel good inside that they love my work, but even more so that they know they look amazing and the confidence they have gained shows by wanting to show everyone else.  The amount of outpouring love from their friends just increases their confidence and self-love.

Before any boudoir session, I send you a questionnaire. This better helps me to understand your comfort level and what you are looking to get from the session itself.  Some want to be more modest, while some are a bit more daring. Either way, we are going to have fun!  And I always make sure I take some modest ones anyways because those are the ones people like to share publicly. I also make sure I take some anonymous shots as well. These are more from the neck down, zoomed in on certain areas, or from the back where you can’t see the person’s face. By doing so, this allows them to remain anonymous if they do choose to give me permission to share some images.   And by being able to share at least the anonymous boudoir images, they’ll see the comments and hype from my women’s Facebook group pumping them up even more. That’s what we’re here for and why I made my group. To all empower and encourage eachother. Every BODY is beautiful, no matter shape or size.

And if you don’t mind sharing images publicly, keep an eye out for my model calls. This is where I offer sessions at a discounted rate to help fill my portfolio in between the clients that prefer me not to share so you can always see fresh photos up to date.  They are only offered once a year so they do not happen often.

By sharing boudoir images publicly, you also ignite a fire in other women who have been hesitant on booking a session.  Some women wait to see images of a person with a similar body type to theirs, or a certain hair length (it’s true) to be able to have the confidence in booking. You never know who you are inspiring.

I respect your privacy fully and you can trust me.  All images are saved on an external hard-drive and are saved there if you ever change your mind or would like more prints.

Stay beautiful!!!!!
