Didn’t know it was a thing? Yep! The Boudoir shower is everything! The ultimate icing on the cake and a perfect way to cool down after a session.  And these are honestly some of everyone’s favorite shots to do- you can see why.

The Ultimate Guide to Shower Posing for Boudoir Photography

If you’re looking for a unique way to spice up your  Boudoir Photography session, why not try shower posing? It’s the perfect way to add some drama and glamour to your photos while also being incredibly fun. Read on to learn more about how you can use shower posing in your boudoir photoshoot!  You can do full body shots or close up shots. Either way, both are sure to make their jaw drop!

You can also take your own Boudoir photos at home in your own shower. The possibilities are endless. Shower posing is an art form that requires a bit of practice and patience. Before you get started, make sure that the water in the shower is set at a comfortable temperature; it should be warm enough to keep you relaxed but cool enough that it won’t cause any discomfort. Once you’ve got the temperature just right, it’s time to start experimenting with poses.  I have an actual shower here in the studio to use and I also have a clear plexiglass that gives off that “shower boudoir” look with more dramatic lighting like the image above. Either way, it’s extremely sexy. So just have fun with it!

When it comes to shower posing, there are two main techniques that you can use: wet and dry. With the wet technique, you’ll get into the shower and pose directly under running water. This will give your photos an ethereal look as drops of water cascade down your body. With the dry technique, you won’t actually be getting into the shower; instead, you’ll position yourself outside of it so that only part of your body is getting wet (for example, one arm or leg). This creates an interesting contrast between wet and dry elements in your photos. Here are some examples:

– Use props – Props such as a loofah or shampoo bottle can help add visual interest to your photos; just make sure they don’t distract from your main subject—you!

Boudoir shower: Lighting & Angles

When taking photos in a shower, you want to be mindful of your lighting and angles. Natural light from windows or skylights will produce softer, more flattering results than artificial light sources like overhead lights or lamps. When posing, you also want to consider which angles look best on camera—try both side-on and front-on shots. You can also experiment with different poses to see which ones work best for you—don’t be afraid to get creative!

Boudoir shower: Posing Ideas

There are lots of ways you can use the shower as a backdrop for your boudoir shoot. You can stand up against the wall or sit down on the edge of the tub—both positions provide some great opportunities for capturing unique shots. You can also use props like towels or washcloths as part of your poses, allowing you to be creative and have fun with it! Just remember that whatever pose you choose, it should look natural and comfortable so that your pictures appear effortless and beautiful.

Boudoir shower posing: Safety First

It’s important to keep safety at the forefront when taking boudoir photos in a shower. Make sure there is plenty of traction on the floor so that you don’t slip while posing, wear non-slip shoes if needed, and use caution when using props such as towels or washcloths near any water sources (like running taps). Lastly, make sure that no electrical devices (such as hair dryers) are nearby so that they don’t get damaged by any water splashing around! I use a towel to place onto the floor for my clients. You won’t see it in the photos and it’s an added layer of protection.

Taking boudoir photos in a shower is both fun and rewarding! It allows you to capture stunning images without having to leave your home—plus, it’s a great way to express yourself creatively without having any restrictions. Remember these tips when taking boudoir photos in your shower; keep safety first, think about lighting & angles carefully and don’t be afraid to experiment with different poses! With some practice and patience, you can create beautiful memories that will last forever!

Shower posing can be an incredibly empowering experience and it’s definitely worth trying if you’re looking for something special for your next boudoir photoshoot!
