When it comes time to where to print boudoir photos, there are three main things to consider: quality, price, and shipping costs. Once those are determined, it doesn’t matter which company you choose because you’re sure to be happy with the results!

With my studio, I personally do the printing for you. I believe in keepsake albums that will last a lifetime and are guaranteed professional and amazing quality.  I have performed extensive research over the years to find the ultimate printing lab that specializes in boudoir photography.  This company is for photographers only and is an all female staff company where I know your images will be taken care of safely.  That is my number one priority as your boudoir photographer is to make sure that your privacy is respected and there is no way possible that your images would fall into the wrong hands.  Where to print boudoir photos is essentially up to you and what you’re looking for out of the session.

With that being said, I understand that some people would rather have digital images to print themselves.  I like to warn people that by doing so, there are no promises that your photos won’t be shared among other people that shouldn’t be.  Especially in a small town, where your neighbor could be working in the printing department at Walgreens. Things are bound to get awkward fast LOL.

Where To Print Boudoir Photos option #1: Online Printing Services

There are many online printing services that offer a variety of options for printing boudoir photos. Please be aware that the quality of images may not be the same as from a photographer because there may be some pixelation due to compression with the files.  Some of the most popular ones include:

  1. Shutterfly – Shutterfly is a popular online printing service that offers a wide range of products, including photo books, canvas prints, and metal prints. They have high-quality printing options, and their interface is user-friendly, making it easy to upload and customize your boudoir photos.

2. Printique – Printique is a professional-grade printing service that offers a range of high-quality photo products, including fine art prints, metal prints, and canvas prints. They offer a variety of printing options, such as custom sizing, framing, and paper types, making it easy to create a personalized boudoir photo         collection.

3. Mpix – Mpix is a popular printing service that specializes in high-quality photo prints, wall art, and photo gifts. They offer a wide range of paper types and finishes, including lustre, matte, and glossy, and their print quality is excellent. They also have a user-friendly interface and competitive pricing.  This one is probably my favorite out of the online printing service options.  They are more true to color and I know they will print boudoir images. Again, there are rules and guidelines so they can not be vulgar images.  Be sure to mention that they are boudoir images in the comments so they are sure to choose a staff member that is age appropriate.

Where To Print Boudoir Photos option #2: Local Printing Services

If you prefer to use a local printing service, there are a few things to consider. First, you’ll want to ensure that the printer has experience printing boudoir photos and understands the privacy concerns that come with this type of photography. Second, you’ll want to make sure that they use high-quality printing equipment and materials to ensure that your photos look their best.  Many places won’t print such photos as they deem them as “inappropriate”.  If they do say yes to printing them, make sure that as you are ordering, you turn off the “auto color correct” feature because they have a built in editing/saturation that can make the images look a bit orange or oversaturated.

1. Professional Printers – Many professional printing companies, such as Pictorem, specialize in high-quality photo printing and offer a range of services, including fine art printing, canvas prints, and metal prints. These printers typically have high-end equipment and experienced staff who can ensure that your boudoir photos are printed to the highest standard.

2. Local Photographers – Many local photographers offer printing services as part of their packages. This can be a great option if you worked with a photographer for your boudoir shoot and want to ensure that your photos are printed by someone who understands the creative vision behind the images. This is the best option personally because you know they will be good quality and if something happens during the process, your photographer can handle the situation and most of the time you aren’t out on money.

Where To Print Boudoir Photos option #3: Department Stores and Drugstores

While department stores and drugstores may not offer the same level of customization and quality as professional printing services, they can be a convenient and affordable option for printing boudoir photos. Please take not that these is the most “unsafe” option as you don’t know who is seeing your images. The staff member could be taking pictures of your images with his/her phone so please be careful when selecting this option with where to print boudoir photos.

  1. Walmart – Walmart offers a range of photo printing services, including standard prints, canvas prints, and metal prints. Their prices are affordable, and their online interface is user-friendly, making it easy to upload and print your boudoir photos.

2. Walgreens – Walgreens also offers a range of photo printing services, including standard prints, canvas prints, and photo gifts. They have a same-day pickup option, which can be convenient if you need your photos printed quickly.  These are the least recommended place to of where to print boudoir photos because the quality never comes out well afterwards. Sometimes they are automatically cropped, or color is completely wrong and images can be grainy.

Where To Print Boudoir Photos option #4: Print-at-Home Options

This will solve any concerns you may have with who will see your images and where to print boudoir photos. If you have a high-quality printer at home, you can also print your boudoir photos yourself. These can be whatever level of spice you want to print because you will be the only one to ever see them and you don’t have to follow any rules/guidelines.   However, there are a few things to consider before doing so.

a. Printer Quality – To ensure that your photos look their best, you’ll want to make sure that your printer is of high quality and can handle the size and resolution of your photos. Cheap printers can drastically change the way your images look.

b. Paper Quality – The paper that you use can also have a significant impact on the quality of your prints. Make sure to use a high-quality photo paper that is compatible with your printer.

Be aware that some home printers don’t do a good job of reproducing skin tones, so your photos may not look as good as they could if they were printed by a professional service. With that being said, if you’re happy with the results you can get from your home printer, then by all means go for it!
